Urban Earth Farm, a division of the Enright Ridge Urban ecovillage, a non-profit organization located in Price Hill is hosting a Pancake Brunch on Sunday, November 11th.  The brunch is a fundraiser for the Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA)

The CSA is a volunteer worker owned organization that offers 26 weeks of vegetables grown following organic principles on land in Price Hill.  The food is grown by members in yards and lots under the supervision of a professional farmer.  Along with providing food for members and local residents, it offers workshops on organic growing of food in one’s own home.  It has become increasingly clear that food safety is an issue, and locally grown food is an important part of dealing with this.

It has recently purchased and is refurbishing the old “ice house” property on Enright Ave. that has been sitting derelict for over 70 years.  It is being prepared to grow food for residents of Price Hill.

The menu for the brunch includes eggs, pancakes, potatoes and breakfast meats.  It is being held at the Imago Earth Center at 700 Enright Ave. in Price Hill.  The first seating will be at 10AM with a subsequent seating at 11:30.  Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.  Children 4 and under free, children 5 to 12 are half price.

You can register for the brunch on Facebook at www.facebook.com/enrightcsa, go to “events” and click tickets. Or you can call Eileen Schenk to register or with any questions at 513-921-1932.
